As the clock turned to midnight, we celebrated Chef Mullen's birthday with a late-night ambush in the convent!
What a fantastic morning! The Sisters at the convent in Ripatransone were generous enough to allow us time in their kitchen as they were preparing for today's 'pranzo'. The head cook, Sister Josephine, is full of kitchen wisdom and was freely sharing her experience. "Without love, you can't make good food," and "Appreciate the beauty of cooking" are but two mouthfuls of amazing inspiration.
We continue with our language classes later followed by a visit to the art museum later this afternoon. Busy, busy!
