- To realize the global community in which we live, Cooking Without Borders looks to expand the focus of students through a cultural exchange involving travel, host arrangements and public involvement. In essence, Cooking Without Borders is a mission to get students involved, engaged and energized about discovering food from around the world. Objectives of Cooking without Borders: ** Students will explore the food of regions beyond the confines of the immediate vicinity. ** Students will demonstrate an appreciation for the cultural impact of indigenous people on their food by interacting with host residents. ** Students will develop a cultural lexicon of the destination region as well as with visiting delegates. ** Students will analyze the food of their home region in terms of authenticity based on their visit to the destination location.
As I sit here eating my mcdonald's french fries I have to wonder... how will you all adjust to the bland sights & tastes of food back in the states? LOL! Glad your having a good time! It all looks simply divine!
